BEIJING Preparations are in the final stages as Beijing prepares to host the second China Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition (CIBTM) trade show next week.
The event will be held from September 8-10 at the China National Convention Centre (CNCC), which has recently been converted from being an Olympic Games venue.
Networking events for hosted buyers include a pre-show cocktail party on September 7 hosted by JW Marriott Hotel Beijing at a surprise outdoor venue somewhere in the city.
The opening reception on September 8 will be hosted by event organiser, China Star, while on September 9 the CIBTM gala evening will be hosted by Beijing Tourism Administration (BTA).
The Professional Education Programme will feature 13 sessions covering topics such as Your Career Path in the Meetings Industry, Technology that Grows Your Event, 2010 World Expo Shanghai – Suitable for MICE, and How to Successfully Organise MICE Events for Chinese Clients Overseas.
Erica Keogan, CIBTM’s education content manager, said: “Part of the meeting and incentives portfolio strategy is to provide the best professional education sessions specifically for the meetings industry.”
All seminar sessions will be available in English and Chinese with simultaneous translations.
