Debbie Morton, senior account manager at Jack Morton Worldwide, is expecting World Expo 2010 to provide greater options for unique event venues in Shanghai.
“The major problem we encounter regionally when clients look to us for direction on where to hold an event is the lack of non-hotel venues," she says. "It is difficult to find many venues that are suitable for sit-down dinners, large product launches and other events that require substantial, open-plan spaces that will hold over 300 guests.
“Post-Expo, there will be a much larger list of different and unusual venues for clients to choose from, making Shanghai an even more attractive city in which to host a major event.”
