Anna Patterson of Off-Site Connections says World Expo 2010 will bring a sharp focus on business events in Shanghai and also provide transfer of knowledge both ways, allowing the city to be exposed to many cultures while also allowing the evolution and development of the participating countries.
“The pride in Shanghai’s citizens is clearly apparent,” she says. “Many of them are working in venues and hotels that will house guests for World Expo.
“Training companies and human resource-driven issues are becoming more important and we are seeing an increase in teambuilding activities and events involving simulation and role play. This all helps to provide staff with Western-style training.
“Off-Site Connections has created a number of teambuilding solutions focusing on customer service and client interaction. This directly affects the delegates’ experience and provides Shanghai’s venues with a new level of professionalism.”
