DARWIN Australia’s newest convention centre has confirmed 33 events for 2009 with an estimated attendance of 12,000 delegates.

Recent events include the 2009 Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and Australia, New Zealand Society of Respiratory Science Annual Scientific Meeting and 32nd Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) Symposium.

ATEC event manager, Kelly Wighton said that in their 32 year history it was the first time the event had ever been held in Darwin. “It had not been possible to hold our event in Darwin until the opening of the Convention Centre. From an event management perspective, the venue is exceptional.”
