This 17-year old convention centre offers event planners a four-zone complex with 23,000 sqm of convention space over four storeys, next to a three-storey 22,500 sqm structure with a 5,500-seat plenary hall and four meeting rooms.

QSNCC has also recently launched an environmentally friendly initiative that encourages delegates to donate used vegetable oil for recycling. 

Recent clients include the Biennial Meeting of the International Gynecologic Cancer Society.

The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok is one kilometre away. The Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit is one stop away on the Skytrain. 

This venue offers 36,000 sqm of both indoor and outdoor event space. There are six column-free, reconfigurable event halls that are suitable for exhibitions, congresses and events, plus another 19 meeting rooms catering for 80 to 1,800 delegates on the second floor.

BITEC will be expanding its exhibition space from 36,000 sqm to 50,400 sqm, adding two new grand halls and up to 25 new meeting rooms. The centre was recently awarded the UFI Global Award for best operations.

BITEC has six F&B outlets. The largest, a food court, can cater for 12,000 delegates at a single sitting. Of the 137 exhibitions that will be held in Thailand this year, 38 will have taken place here.

Distance from airport
The venue is a 20-minute taxi ride from either the city centre or Suvarnabhumi International Airport. The Skytrain network is expected to reach the airport next year.

The Hotel Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport, the Dusit Princess Srinakarin Bangkok and the four-star Novotel Bangna Bangkok, which has eight function rooms, are the nearest hotels.

Privately owned IMPACT is the second biggest convention and exhibition venue in Asia, offering event planners 140,000 sqm of event space, including the 60,000 sqm column-free Challenger Exhibition Hall and 16 meeting rooms.

Organisers can also book the eight-hall, 47,000 sqm Exhibition Centre with its six breakout rooms or the 12,000-seat IMPACT Arena.

The US$6 million, 3,500 sqm Royal Jubilee Ballroom – Thailand’s largest – can seat 2,500 people for a banquet.

A 45-minute taxi trip. The venue also has a shuttle bus service, IMPACT Link, that runs from 6am to 10pm to and from Mo Chit BTS Skytrain station.

IMPACT is a 25-minute drive from Bangkok's CBD, but there are no hotel's in the immediate vicinity.

Bangkok’s second-newest venue, the Royal Paragon Hall is right next door to the Grand Palace and has 12,000 sqm of event space in the Siam Paragon shopping mall.

The venue’s three halls can be configured to house up to 5,200 delegates and 300 booths. Five meeting rooms can fit up to 24 delegates each.

Recent big names to recently hold events here include MTV, Coca-Cola, Red Cross and Computer World. Amway Japan also held an incentive event here for 2,000 delegates.

The venue is a 30-minute taxi ride to central Bangkok. There is access from the Siam BTS Skytrain, a major interchange for the above-ground rail network.

Nearest hotels
The 400-room Kempinski Hotel Siam is due to open in 2010. The Sofitel Centara Grand is a ten-minute walk away. There are other five-star hotels in the nearby Rajaprasong area, including Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, InterContinental Bangkok and Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok.

Bangkok’s newest convention and exhibition venue opened in July 2007 and has 10,000 sqm of event space. While considered compact compared to Bangkok’s other sprawling venues, it has modern facilities, an onsite hotel and enjoys a central location.

IT&CMA takes place here in October each year. Also held recently was Mobility World and the German Technology Symposium Exhibition.
