1 Pacific World
2 Diethelm Events
3 Jack Morton Worldwide
Introduced last year, there is a clear winner in the category for Best Event Company in the CEI Asia 2009 Industry Awards. For the second year running, Pacific World is the most widely recognised event brand, according to survey respondents.
Competition for second and third place in the category was exceptionally tight. Diethelm Events scooped second prize with 11.5 per cent of the vote, and close behind was global events giant Jack Morton Worldwide.
Pacific World has long had a strong regional presence, which has contributed to its success in this year’s awards. The organisation has offices in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong.
Bob Guy, managing director of Pacific World, says: “Our goal is to meet or exceed customers’ expectations from the smallest detail to the largest concept. Our work with the 2008 Olympics, for Formula One and ITB Asia, are stand-outs during 2008.
“Our teams of professionals are our most important asset, followed closely by strong support from our customers. Our staff at Pacific World are passionate about what they do. The pride of delivery is evident every day to me as I participate with them in fulfilling customers’ goals.”
David Barrett, executive manager of second placed Diethelm Events (Thailand), says the reason for the organisation’s good result is simple: “Our success lies in our creativity, connections and behind-the-scenes service delivery. Teamwork is the key ingredient. We have a team of eight event professionals, and everyone plays a key role.”
Barrett says Diethelm Events biggest highlight of the year was being appointed by Carlson Marketing Singapore to handle the ground logistics for 2,250 delegates attending the Oracle Asia Pacific conference in Phuket during October.
Third-placed Jack Morton Worldwide offers services in integrated live events, branded environments and media. Ben Taylor, managing director, Asia, for Jack Morton Worldwide, says: “Jack Morton Asia had a record year in 2008, principally down to a loyal and growing client base, truly amazing teams, offering our clients consistently innovative and strategic solutions, and the ability to drive value through our relationships and volume of business with hotels, venues, production companies and other partners.”
He adds: “In 2008, we have delivered projects for a wide range of clients, including HSBC, adidas, ING, Coca-Cola and IBM.”
